Used Pressure Fed Blast Cabinets

Pressure-fed blast cabinets are enclosed booths or rooms specifically designed for blasting surfaces. They are usually used in the metalworking industry to clean, de-rust, de-paint or smooth surfaces of metal parts. Blasting is performed using an abrasive such as sand, glass or steel shot, which is shot at high pressure onto the surface. Pressure-fed blast cabinets consist of an enclosed cabin where the operator is located and a blasting unit that shoots the abrasive at high pressure onto the surface. The cabin is equipped with an exhaust system that extracts and filters the used abrasive and the chipped surface particles to avoid contamination of the environment. The blasting unit consists of a pressure vessel in which the abrasive is pressurized and a blasting hose that transports the abrasive from the blasting unit to the nozzle. The nozzle is held by the operator in the cabin and directed at the surface to be treated. The pressure of the abrasive can be adjusted as needed. Pressure-fed blast cabinets offer many advantages over other blasting methods. They allow surfaces to be cleaned quickly and effectively and are ideal for working on hard-to-reach areas. In addition, they are environmentally friendly because they extract and filter the abrasive used and the flaked surface particles to prevent contamination of the surrounding environment. However, they also require careful operator training and instruction, as high pressure blasting also poses risks to operator safety.
